Can't Get Enough Prizm! + Group Break Interest?

I promise I'm not employed by Panini... I just happen to be very fond of some of their products. Plus they're less expensive and less repetitive than what Topps has put out this year. I can live without the logos for the most part, and have no problem supporting "the little guy" since Topps is on a course to destroy the hobby entirely within the next fifteen years. In the end, it comes down to what I like and I really like 2012 Panini Prizm. Here's some highlights from a cheap retail box I got online.

Wil Myers represents the biggest heartbreak in my life as a Royals fan. Since the day he was drafted I obsessed with Wil, continuously telling myself that everything would be okay once he made it to KC. Instead the biggest ****ing idiot in America, Dayton Moore, traded Wil, Jake Odorizzi, and then some for two years of James Shields, Wade Davis (who was delegated to the bullpen) and Elliot Johnson who was finally cut after an 0 for 50 streak at the plate. What a stupid ass move. It was obvious then and becomes more obvious every day. I still love Wil and want him to succeed, but it's like when the girl of your dreams falls in love with your best friend. It hurts man. *Tear*
Oh and here's a shitty picture of Mike Stanton and a puffy cheeked goldfish.

Here's an outstanding card and a terrible card. Can you guess which is which? How do you not put any orange on the photoshopped Ripken jersey? Did he spend time with the White Sox that I wasn't aware of?

Verlander has been great this year, but not incredible so everyone thinks he's losing it. He's punished the Royals enough to keep me from doubting him. Who is Max Fried? I don't know but that sounds like a good name for a fast food chain.

Jarrod Parker is the most underrated young pitcher in the majors. I see him being a solid middle of the rotation guy for many many years. I'm not sad that Harvey had to shut it down for the year, now everyone can focus on Jose Fernandez like they should have been all season.

Only three green parallels in the box. I really wish it had a been a Walmart or Target retail box, the red and blues are gorgeous! McCutchen is a fun young player, he reminds me a lot of Carlos Beltran from his early Royals days.

Had to save the best for last... what a perfect card!

I'm in the process of making a deal with a wholesaler in Missouri for a 20 box case of 2012 Prizm retail for a RIDICULOUSLY low price. The following for my blog is still small, but would anyone be interested in a very cheap group break? I'm thinking four or five boxes at about $10/team shipped. If you're interested please leave a comment below!

  1. I'd consider grabbing the Mets and Blue Jays. To make up for extra shipping to Canada, I can send off a 100-ish card repack-y like thing.

    1. I'd also be interested in retired players from unclaimed teams, if there are a bunch. Let me know. But definitely in for the Dodgers. Thanks.

  4. The Blue Jays and Royals would be my first choices for a buy-in, but it looks like that territory is already staked out. The Astros don't usually get enough cards in a set for a buy-in to be worthwhile. In a pinch I would spring for the Pirates, though.

    1. The Royals could be all yours! I've got all the singles I'm looking for from the Royals in this set.

  5. Okay, after doing the math it would be a four box retail break at $10 (shipped) for the first team and $8 for each team claimed after that. I've just placed the order, so it's on if we can get enough interest. If you want first dibs on a team, keep calling it!

  7. I would be interested in a break...but it seems the Dodgers have been claimed, so that leaves me out this time.

  8. Are there Griffeys in that set? If so, I'll take the Mariners....
